As a pedant, I too get annoyed by details like this. However the way you are discussing this gives the impression that you think it undercuts their ideological position exalting the supremacy of user control over devices. Do you disagree with that? The TEE and TRM both act as levers to place device manufacturers in between users and service providers. Which end use is disrupted feels like a bit of a distraction to me.
