the local merlin just swooped my dog in our backyard - not sure if it was a "u stupid beast i hate u" or "maybe i can eat it? no".
putting aside the fact that i would object strongly to my dog getting footed by any bird of prey, she weighs 15 lbs and merlins weigh, what, 200g? ambitious.
