Me? Close to zero. Sadly, politicians answer to the spies, rather than the other way around.
Julian has a good chance of having the charges dropped, because the case has become an embarrassment. He's not an American, never held a clearance, and works as a publisher. The case has always been a naked act of political repression against an inconvenient opponent, and the only reason it has survived as long as it has is because the larger corporate media so despises Assange's position regarding the 2016 election that they have been happier to see him suffer than they were concerned with the noose around their own necks.
Each day that passes makes clear what a heinous abdication of their professional and civic responsibility it has been to minimize the importance of his case, and so I believe, or hope, that the White House can (and will) actually be pressured to abandon the case.
They'll pretend it was the DOJ's decision.
