first, he "challenged" the regime by opening his admin to fascist nincompoops too dumb to make it through the revolving door of a democrat admin.
next, he "challenged" the regime by letting a(nother) fake WHO pandemic explode into a propaganda frenzy enough that his successor was able to gang press mRNA injections (which he's proud of, btw) into the arms of the working age population - fulfilling a eugenics goal 70+ years running.
then he "challenged" the regime by goading his most devoted followers into a highly staged fed honey pot at the capitol, but only after stacking his election defense with completely useless legal defectives.
liberal thought leaders and talking heads are not actually afraid of him, imo ... they just view him the same way bannon did - but for their own aims.
