How often in last 5 days have you heard the American press take even a few minutes to remind people just what kind of abject poverty that 2 million Gazans live in every day. You don’t have to like them, or Hamas, to have a humanitarian moment and at least think of all that human misery. Desperate people, or those claiming to care about them, will often do desperate things. This tragedy has gone on my entire life. We keep kicking the can (and a lot of human beings) down the road.
