Over the years we have created quite a few items of btcpayserver (npub155m…dcvg) merch. Simply put, the BTCPay logo is great and easily scales from favicon to large print.

My favorite thing about it: it's OPSEC B for Bitcoin. I can wear a BTCPay hat wherever without normies recognizing symbol.

Bitcoiners on the other hand will instantly get that we're part of the same movement.

It's especially great when you're traveling to a conference and want to meet new people; BTCPay logo kickstarted several conversations in airport waiting areas for me.

How it all began? Well, shirt came first.

It was the main merch item for the first BTCPay Day in Riga held during Baltic Honey Badger in 2019.

In my view it's simplicity that made it an instant hit - logo as big as it can possibly be, slapped on the BTCPay thematic green.

Hat came from BHB conference in 2019 as well. During one late night drinking session ODELL (npub1qny…95gx), Pavlenex (npub1za0…dur3) and me were discussing exchanging merchandise (better not to get into details)... and the idea was born!

A month after the conference I created Twitter DM group to plan details... we ended up putting BTCPay logo on front and "Stay Humble" mantra on the back. MartyBent (npub1guh…6hjy) took point to create, promote and selling BTCPay hats as part of TFTC store.

It went like that from the longest time, until the store was taken down. Hats were discontinued for couple years, until Uncle pushed to bring them back last year as part of BTCPay events.

Tags became a necessity in 2021. By then, I would finish every conference without my BTCPay shirt and hat because they would end up being gifted to Bitcoin enthusiasts who asked for them.

So, I thought it would be a good idea to have something to give as a token of affiliation to those who wanted to be part of the project. Giving out tags is certainly easier than handing out shirts and walking around conferences bare-chested.

The BTCPay Knighting ceremony was born, recognizing those who have made significant contributions to the project over the years.

However, as I conducted these ceremonies, I realized that for those with very special contributions, I needed to have very special tags.

Bas (npub19n6…el56) already created unique silver BTCPay tag for himself; and he offered to help. We tested several form factors and materials until we landed on the final design... and voila - we were set for future ceremonies!

Now you can often see BTCPay tags shining from Bitcoin conference stages.

Again - I love the fact that in the end it's just a simple B. Not standing only for our project, but for Bitcoin as well.

These four are the main merchandise items that you can see project contributors and supporters wear.

There were more items produced over the years (especially dark ones done by Kukks)... but that's another note!

If you have picture with any BTCPay merch, drop it here in responses!

And if you don't, but would like some - just find me at a conference or meetup and show me this note. I'll hook you up.
