I'm using Prismacolor Premier pencils, and he was using Faber Castell Polychromos (he shared a pic, https://dice.camp/@micahdraws/112526783215950578 ). They're both professional quality, expensive colouring pencils that produce similar results and handle very similarly (I've used Polychromos before). One is oil based and one is wax based, both are very smooth and layer pigment easily.
