After spending 24 hours with stock Ubuntu 18.04, I'm reminded of how convoluted and confusing Linux gaming was in the infancy of Proton. There was so much guesswork! So many extra little things or tweaks you had to tack on to even get a game running.
Capturing that experience to chronicle how far we've come in only 6 short years is part of my goal.
