I learned long ago that shampoo is a psyop. It's loaded with endocrine disrupting compounds, phyto- and xeno- estrogens that are carried directly through your dermis into your lymphatic system and consequently into your bloodstream by the well-known sodium-laurel sulfate (and analogs like sodium laureth sulfate) detergent main ingredient.
The reason people think they need shampoo is they are using hard water. Real soap and hard water produce calcium pecipiates. If you install a water softner, bar soap works perfectly well as hair soap (it cleaned your body hairall these years, right?) but if you can't get a water softner, use a diluted vinegar rinse in the shower to remove the calcified soap particles from your hair and skin.
A third alternative is to find a real sifts soap made with potassium hydroxide as the saponifier, rather than sodium hydroxide which produces hard soap. This is available from Dr Bronners, but I don't recommend it for two reasons: high concentration of peppermint oil on the skin can cause unintended side effects such as GIRD and IBS; and certain cannabinoid and hemp oils can cause mental fatigue and emotional agitation, and this is the source of fat they use in their soaps.
You may be able to find an alternative source of soft soap, such as from Zum, or maybe Soapminer (nprofile…75w5) will expand his offering. My family just uses bar soap as we have a water softener.
