I think we talk too much about our personal connection with games and not enough about how games connect us with other people. I keep circling back to music metaphors.

It's perfectly valid to say, "I don't particularly care for woodwind instruments. They make me lightheaded."

But that doesn't say a whole lot about the kind of music you're interested in making or how you want to go about making it.

I feel like a lot of RPG talk is kind of on this level. #ttrpg
