Indeed it saved my life. It was my first computer and I did work alot to buy one with my own earned money. I was a kid back then, but that 8 bit marvel gave sense to my life, by providing a secure place where I felt secure, I could learn and put in place what my brain was imagining at that time. I was 12-13 years old, and that brown brochure that came with it, allowed me to write my first lines of code. Without Internet and almost no information, and barely understanding English, somewhere near Serra da Estrela. I was one of the kids that Sir Clive Sinclair tried to influence with this invention.
