I really don't like the degree of fragmentation in the specification for the fediverse and the lack of seeming collective will to solve that problem.

If anything I think it's been getting worse.

I know some people are really really trying in that space, and it must be really disheartening for them in particular. It's a hard problem and I don't envy them that.
