"This is only just the beginning of what is needed to recover from Helene. Tens of thousands of people remain without work, many homes will not have electricity for weeks and months, and there are an unbelievable number of houses that need mucking, gutting and repairs.
As the cold weather sets in we are working to kick our free firewood program into high gear to meet the incredible demand. And we will continue to provide direct aid to households impacted by the floods in every way we can, whether that’s providing free groceries at our mutual aid hub, sending a crew out to repair a home, or connecting people with urgent medical care.
We are here for the long haul. Please help us continue this work..."
