It was a moving experience today to cantor and sing with my parish's choir at the funeral for our pastor, Fr. Bill Grogan, who died suddenly last Sunday:
https://archphila.org/grogan-reverend-william-e/ The church was filled to the back with parishioners, family, friends, and more priests I've seen in one place since the Pope visited Philly.
As many attested, he was passionate, thoughtful, and did so much to welcome people into one of the most diverse church communities I've been a part of. We will miss him very much.
