I did find the post I was looking for, though. I ended up scrolling back manually by dragging the scroll bar all the way to the top (not using the scroll wheel) and holding it there. I discovered that that jumped back like a week at a time, so it took a while, but not as much as I thought it would.
The only problem is that that search box *requires* that you enter text. I wanted to filter by person, date, and channel *without* entering text. :/
