I babysat a bit as a teen, but always refused any kid not old enough to independently bathe, toilet and coherently explain if there was a problem.
I had an abortion when I was at uni, again not a second thought (before or after).
About ten years ago my BIL asked if we would go on their wills as guardians. They’re lovely kids, and at that point were about 13 and 15 so I eventually said yes.
I don’t dislike kids (though see above re ability to take care of basic needs and communicate), and I do dislike the nasty “child free” stuff about “breeders” and “crotch goblins”.
