I did something impulsive today. After the meeting with my boss where she told me there was basically no money for professional travel, I emailed her boss, the AssDean. In that email I listed the 5 significant national and international opportunities that I would be missing out on without support at the level I’ve come to expect. In short, I said this proposed budget would limit my career progress. I was frustrated but it’s not false.
