One thought I had as I was reading is that the author focuses on the potential WebAssembly offers to make _browsers_ more powerful. However, we could turn this model around and think about how WASM can make desktop apps more powerful.
A desktop application could contain a runtime for WebAssembly binaries, thus defining a sandbox for other developers to write extensions to said desktop app _in any language_.
I think extensibility will be a key feature for Nostr app integrations.
