As long as governments will embrace it, normies will follow. Just like they are happily using governments' paper money now. And with US on the brink of adding BTC on their reserves, I think we're set for the West to start the governmental supercycle. Bitcoin backed Dollar and Euro is also a normie-friendly option.

Another option would be if governments do not back Bitcoin fully, and we still end up with the critical mass of society embracing it themselves, which is a more anarchistic option and would definitely cause more turmoil, but either way it's inevitable and governments seem to be realising that (+ add the game theory of other countries buying it too)
