Somehow it's never news when the local bicycle store "agrees to follow the law on paying sales tax". Neither is it when non-consumer facing industries follow the "minimally legally requires emission legislation".
Yet Twitter and other digital consumer tech giants get constant praise for merely stating they'll follow the law. Such a strange mechanism we created.
