A common kingfisher has apparently made its home at or somewhere near the small retention basin near my house. I've seen it flash by several times before and today I finally saw it sitting on a branch for a moment before it darted away. It always amazes me that they somehow manage to find a place even in cities and that very few people seem to notice them, even though they are spectacularly beautiful.
