I'm just frustrated about Ofgem and the energy bills. We are now around 1/6th of the peak wholesale price in August '22, which is what the October-April '22 price cap was based on.
If they took their maximum wholesale price over the October-April period, which is what the April-October '23 price cap would be based on, energy prices should cut in half.
But it's being suggested that energy bills will go up (unit price is lower but the lack of government monthly grant will make bills more expensive).
Martin Lewis is fighting for the Government to keep their grant running. Why not fight for Ofgem to stop protecting energy providers, we have the highest energy bills in the Europe right now.
