The advice I tried for a depressed friend was to avoiding watching the trump soap opera, but pay attention to some activist groups.
Trump loves attention and will do anything to get people to look at him, but it is just emotionally exhausting and there's not really anything useful to do about it.
My hunch is it's more useful to be paying attention to some trusted civil society groups and be trying to help them out when they identify a useful call to action.
Some of my groups are indivisible, aclu, lambda legal, eff, sunrise movement, and united farm workers. There's plenty of groups.
