What if the October surprise is that this strike was done on purpose so Kamala can come in and say she helped negotiate a deal. Right now, she is polling at a record low for a Democrat amongst union workers. It's almost the perfect setup and would make sense why they had no urgency to push for a deal. Let it go on long enough where people feel some pain, then come in and play the hero. Her numbers amongst union workers would sky rocket right before the election.
