So-called man of the people Nigel Farage was lying when he said that his bank account had been closed without warning, and was politically motivated.

His account was with Coutts. An exclusive bank for very wealthy people that is owned by NatWest.
He described talking to a member of staff there as dealing with a "lackey". Which I'm sure has endeared him to the bank.

Coutts closed his account as he fell below the wealth threshold they require to maintain an account.
