Hmmm. Not entirely sure which file system you mean with the first entry in your list. I assume it's one that Fedora, openSUSE, SUSE and a few others use by default for a while already, which they would not do if it was really as bad as you make it sound.

The list also seems to miss two other well known and established players. Okay, one might not count as "modern", but the other one despite its long history changed quite a bit over time and IMHO does.
