I think there's some sort of social hierarchy is involved in such things which we may really neither understand nor appreciate.
I noticed it in some social circles where members were always concerned about the well-being of one person, but if anyone else brought up their concerns nobody else cared... not even the person who was mostly shown compassion.
And if we ever dare to bring up issues that we face, it results in something along the lines of, "figure it out yourself" or it gets ignored.
