Just to clarify, by "graphical client" are you talking specifically about GitHub Desktop (ie https://desktop.github.com/)?
If so, that's not really an issue ... there are plenty of git graphical apps that should do pretty much the same stuff for you with codeberg (unless there are some features rather specific to GitHub).
Plenty of people will probably tell you their favourite git GUI ... there really are quite a few.
I'm trying Sublime Merge right now, I like how quickly it starts.
