When I came out in 1978, my mother (her daughter) chucked me out of the house and told me to “Never darken her doorstep again!” 🙄
The first time my grandma visited the flat I shared with my girlfriend, I showed her the two bedrooms and said “This is Di’s room and this is mine”.
She didn’t miss a beat before saying “But I thought you shared a bed” 👌
