With regard to OpenAI's ChatGPT search, looking at it and using it, it's a purely defense move, if Google fully enables and rolls-out it's AI Search, i don't see how OpenAI can compete. If only because of the enormous amount of current users of Google Search and the ecosystem around it. The exciting thing is how Google will be monetizing it's new search and how succesful that will be.
