The thing I hate most about surveillance tech is that all this data goes to companies and maybe the police sometimes, but when I WANT to share data, or just enjoy in a spreadsheet myself it's never easy.

For example, I use an app to find the nearest bus. I've asked the developers if I could save or download my trips, or share an active trip with friends over text message so people would know when I'd arrive but the devs, who are good people I think say "oh no there are privacy concerns."
