Since we started composting food waste, we’ve been averaging one 10 gallon bag of trash per week, down from two or three. The recycling can is always full, and so is the compost pail. Pretty cool, I hope DC finds a way to turn this pilot into a citywide offering next year. If not, we’ll probably get a commercial compost company to pick up.
