By this point I'm starting to feel the final product/design and came up with this birds eye view of the inside (with the top off).
There are 3 internal compartments. One for cold air coming in, one for the miner to absorb sound, one for the hot air outflow.
I decided that I did not want the fans attached near the outside of the case. Prefer to not see the fans from the outside, so they will all be tucked inside the compartment.
Brown lines in the picture are the additional fans.
Orange rectangle in the middle is the miner.
The first two fans at the back will be slightly bigger fans maybe 160mm - 200mm in size.
The other two fans near the miner intake will be maybe 140mm - 160mm in size and stacked vertically.
So towards the left, you have the bigger fans with lower RPM because it is near the hole where sound can leak out. Bigger fans are generally quieter (assuming the same RPM as a smaller fan). Then in the middle is a slightly smaller higher RPM fan which is deeper in the box. Then you have the 120mm loud 6k RPM ear chewing fans from the miner deep in the middle of the box.
The blue triangles are extra internal walls to help direct the airflow and the fans are angled to assist airflow direction.
