Great take. I was talking to my wife yesterday about how this lapse is showing the chinks in the US empire. The attitude of being the best nation on earth is still present, but the effectiveness to back it up is no longer there. Things like allowing a shooter to get on that, blindingly obvious, roof and the haphazard withdrawal from Afghanistan etc.
