I mean, I sort of can, I know how to achieve the same result with vanilla JS/html/CSS but it would just take longer. Reactivity, global store, reusable components, etc. are very helpful. The problem only arises if you don't know what the framework does behind the scenes, IMO.
I suppose you'll be fine without a framework if your UI doesn't look a starship control panel.
Also, I certainly don't look back to the days when jQuery was the gold standard.
