Europe is in the worst possible position: wedged between a 25% US tariff on one side and an energy producing trade partner that you sanctioned yourself out of participating with on the other.
This has resulted in Europes economy failing, as is evidenced in Germany, once proud of it's automotive industry, but now sees Volkwagen factories being sold out to Chinese competitors, as just one example.
The war isn't popular with the voting public in almost every European country, despite being bombarded with propaganda about how we must continue to haemorage money to this proxy war or democracy will fail (even though Ukraine hasn't held an election since the start of the conflict, political opposition is threatened with violence , churches outlawed, and corruption and money laundering is the norm, not to mention the neo-Nazi paramilitaries)
EU response to this, bizarely, is to double down on the proxy war.
