I'm impressed with the number of classic sci-fi TV series Wells takes the piss out of in Murderbot.

Just off the top of my head:

* ST:TNG (you can't tell me Murderbot isn't a piss take on Data, also I'm p sure one of Murderbot's stories is a riff on ST)

* Farscape (ART is absolutely a piss take on Moya)

And the Corporation Rim is such a piss take on most cyberpunk I can't even.

I mean "piss take" affectionately; I'm sure Wells is fond of those works.
