"The immediate Banks of the River are Muddy, but the Country on gaining the Summit of a rise or Bank of gentle ascent, is a vast Surface of Prairies. Commenced fine clear Weather. We had a heavy dew during the night. At 4.45 am we Continued our ascent of the #Saskatchewan, alternately Tracking & Rowing. At 9 we landed to breakfast, our Horse party joining us, but after breakfast they proceeded to the Hunting Ground. #BisonHunt #Canada #History #Books
