They also have fiscal hosts (organisations which can hold our money for us), so we don't need to go through the hassle of registering our own company. They have the ability to do "virtual cards" so our hosting provider can charge them directly. And of course making all of our expenses public.
There are some other benefits too regarding grants, for example if we get an American grant then it can be received and paid out in dollars.
