Hell yeah! FYI if you purchase from a FFL on the 4th, your background check would be delayed as the Feds are closed, so you would not be able to bring the firearm home the same day and have to wait 3 days. But that can happen anytime anyway, it's just guaranteed on a Federal holiday.
