Getting a racing license is actually very easy - if you've done a bunch of track days it's about three weekends of work. Most of it is knowing routines and being safe - it's a bunch of book-learning - nobody cares how FAST you are.
But it is funny how mythologized it is. Way way way harder to be a hairdresser.
Now, if you want to be a PROFESSIONAL racing driver and actually get PAID to drive - hell yeah that's a whole bunch of sweat. Those folks are superhuman.
