But the news, sports, and other media simply never made it to Mastodon, and I suspect never will.

Threads is not really getting much traction "for real" from what I see, either. Just a bunch of add-ons for Instagram.

Bluesky seems fine, but the clients aren't great, and I prefer the existing follows on Mastodon, so having both would be ideal.
