The Democratic Party has enraged me since 1980, and I left them for years, yet I've always known that they are significantly better than all of the *viable* (not hopeful) alternatives we *currently* have.
It sucks that the bar is so low. It's worse that what else is awaiting us *all* is horrifically worse.
