Finding out that the Dunning-Kruger paper didn’t replicate was a real bummer, because now if I keep using that term all I’m doing is trying to make it real again while deliberately self-selecting myself into that cohort.
As metaphors go it was beautiful, which should have been cause for suspicion but vexes me nonetheless.
