"content": "nostr:npub1utfxveum3yacpwrrgp0yk5qutvr7kllgd4lq7wsz59edwp6530nslzxze5 Overall, we need to be very careful about the message sent to ECRs, as pushing them to adopt an excessively \"ethical\" publication strategy (incl. diamond Open Access and/or no IF journals) can harm their career. Yet, there are simple guidelines: never write or review for predatory publishers (MDPI, Frontiers, IKpress, etc), and target #DAFNEE journals. Journal reputation goes well beyond their IF; \"Evolution\" and \"BMC Ecol Evol\" have similar IFs, but very different effects on CVs.",
