https://mastodon.social/@WarnerCrocker/111450907598793657 reminds me that a pleasant side effect of running my own email server, supporting a number of my own domains, makes it trivially easy to have 'rubbish mail' catch-all domain, for which I can create arbitrary emails addresses of the form 'webservice@catchalldomain' that I can use to label emails I give to webservices wanting my email. If my address gets abused/sold-to-spammers by any of them, I'll know exactly who to blame, because it's in the email.
