It is DIRECTLY due to unconscious but -very- real and embedded "might makes right" mentalities that our world is in the shape it's in. These unconscious authoritarian leftovers take the form of "bigger is better" in everything from cars and McMansions, to implicit biases about groups of people, to overt power OVER others.
And then you also point out all militaries have -ever- done is some variation on this, and you lose half the liberals who were nodding their heads along with you.
