This is what I was expecting and holding for. Alhamdulillah, Hummus didn’t not disappoint.
This reminds me of the story of the companions who migrated from Makkah, left everything behind, and were given shelter by the Ansaar of Madeenah and given a meal to eat for the night. But there wasn’t enough food for everyone to eat, so they turned down the lights and pretended to eat so that their guests can eat instead.
Those who were already firmly established in their homes [in Medina], and firmly rooted in faith, show love for those who migrated to them for refuge and harbour no desire in their hearts for what has been given to them. They give them preference over themselves, even if they too are poor: those who are saved from their own souls’ greed are truly successful.
Al-Ḥashr, Ayah 9
🇮🇱 Emily (9) after she was released by #Hamas:
“When she eats, she offers me and everyone first.
So she offers me even if I tell her I don’t want. She goes “eat some, for me.”
I asked if they (Hamas) suggested eating together & offer food to those more hungry. She nodded yes.”
