2/2 My man tapped as usual on the "update" button and the dumb fdroid made him a mess. I have today manually select the v7a file from the versions list and now is working fine. Okay, almost fine because of the issue with the profile picture which can't be loaded from the device gallery - that bug is still present. But everything else seems to be all right. The solution is to choose the file for update by hand, instead of automatically. I think I can close the github issue now.
