Well from a dissenting video I saw on the subject, his indecent behavior happened in something like 1920. It's unlikely that "behavior" was quite as bad as you might think, because back then they would have been much harsher in punishments.
If I remember correctly, it had something to do with him trying to adopt a female student of his without the consent of the parents. It was just a very odd situation, guy seemed a bit like a sperg.
Anyway he later led a group of convicts and general low life types and was incredibly successful in the battles he fought. The stories of rape and torture were exaggerated, the Dirlwanger Brigade simply excelled at the exceptionally brutal fighting on the Eastern Front.
Either way, Dirlwanger was a sketchy guy, but I don't believe he or his brigade was anywhere near as bad as they are made out to be. :thinkergun_sunglasses:
